1Corinthians 13:4-8

Hello Woman On The Rise,

I started thinking on how many people ran out to get a card, flower or even a gift for Valentine’s Day.  How much thought, money and time people put into this day to make it special for their significant other? Many hours used to find the perfect gift for that person!

Well, what have you given to God lately? What time have you spent thinking on how you can give him more of your time? What can you give him that would make him smile, put a gleam in his eyes and even make his heart putter?

When I think about love it brings me to the 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 that says “Love suffers long, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, it is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, believes all things, hope all things, endures all things. Love never fails.”

Reading this makes me to appreciate the love of God even more in my life. If it wasn’t for his love I would not be here today. He was so patient with me when I could not see where I was going. He never left me nor has he forsaken me and this was all because of his love for me.

Our daily walk should exemplify the love of God we have in our hearts. When we see a beggar, are we judgmental or are we just willing to help him/her?  When we see the poor, do we say I have clothes in my closet that may be able to fit them or do we turn our heads and look the other way? When our children need our attention, do we chase them away or we take the time and listen to their voice?

I challenge you today to take a moment to think about how God has loved you and re-analyze how you love HIM.

God Bless You,

Elder Plezie Small, God’s Pusher,

In the Spirit

God is committed to us.  He is committed to being with us even when we try to distance ourselves from Him.  He is committed to our good even when we are being bad.  He is committed to not forsaking us even when we forsake Him.  He is committed to loving us even when we love other gods.   God is committed to us.  He wants us with Him forever.

I commit: God, I love you and I need you in my life. Father, come into my heart; hear my plea and bless me with your love, kindness and generosity so that I may live a life that is happy, healthy, wealthy and wise.

Today, I invite you to re-analyze and re-new your commitment to your God!
