An Interview with Caroline A. Shearer: Author & Entrepreneur
Sylvia: Welcome Caroline. Please give our readers an introduction of yourself and a little about your book.

Caroline: Hello! Thank you. I’m very happy to be featured here. My name is Caroline Shearer. I am the creator of Absolute Love Publishing and its assisted self-publishing imprint, Spirited Press, which offers a variety of services to aspiring authors. I have also published six of my own books, including a collection of essays titled “Women Will Save the World,” which was inspired by a quote from the Dalai Lama. I have also written two min-e-books™ which are both part of my “Raise Your Vibration” series. A min-e-book™ is a shorter style e-book designed for a quick read. The first book, “Raise Your Vibration: Tips and Tools for a High-Frequency Life” offers readers practical steps to resonate at a higher vibration and further evolve their souls, allowing them to attain what they truly want in life. The second book, “Raise Your Financial Vibration: Tips and Tools to Embrace Your Infinite Spiritual Abundance” applies similar concepts to attracting a higher level of financial wealth.
Sylvia: Very interesting! And thank you for sending me a copy of your book. I look forward to reading it. What inspired you to write your first book?
Caroline: Writing books is something that I have wanted to do my whole life. I honestly can’t recall a time when I didn’t want to write a book. The journey was developing the confidence to do it, and that took all of my 20s. Once I finished my first book, “Adventures of a Lightworker: Dead End Date,” I was able to realize; “Now I know I can do this!”
Sylvia: Sometimes we must build our confidence and just do it! Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Caroline: All of my books, including the ones I have written and the ones I have published, have an underlying theme of opening your heart, and living a heart-centered and love-filled life. Absolute Love Publishing is guided by the same principles. The company’s mission is to create and publish projects promoting goodness in the world, and that’s what we do every single day.
Sylvia: Do you have any advice for other writers?

Caroline: Today’s writers are extremely lucky to live in this time. There are more options than ever before for writers to get their work out there. My advice is to stop making excuses, or listening to other people’s excuses, and just do it!
Sylvia: What marketing techniques have you used to sell your books and which ones have been most successful?
Caroline: We have an email list, website, active blog, along with the usual social media outlets—Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. We regularly work on expanding them all. It seems to work best because with each one we try, we are able to reach a different market each time. The most important thing is maintaining consistency with whatever you use.
Sylvia: Why should we buy your book?
Caroline: Our books are designed to create more goodness in the world. If you are someone who is looking to make positive changes, better yourself, improve your station in life, find long-lasting inspiration, and/or learn from others’ experiences, then we have a book for you!
Sylvia: Is there a special place that you prefer when you write?
Caroline: Ideally, I would prefer to be completely isolated, tucked away in the mountains in a cabin, perhaps. But in reality, I generally work at my desk with a cat and a dog, and every other distraction possible!
Sylvia: Ha Ha! Your ‘ideally’ much more calming! What projects are you currently working on?
Caroline: I am currently working on a novel which will become the second book in the “Adventures of a Lightworker” series and the sequel to the first book I ever wrote, “Adventures of a Lightworker: Dead End Date.” I also have several min-e-books™ in the works. And apart from writing, I spend time actively promoting “Women Will Save the World” via a number of media outlets.
Sylvia: Very busy lady! What is your POWER WORD?
Caroline: My power word is LOVE. Love is at the center of personal growth and transformation. Healing is enabled by self-love. And I believe it is important for all of our thoughts and actions to come from a place of love. From that mindset, all things are possible.
