There’s a Biblical scripture that I frequently invoke to clients, “Faith  without works is dead.” What it means is that prayer without action is  worthless. It’s not enough to meditate or focus on increasing your income-you’ve  also got to take deliberate steps to manifest more money.

The reality is that many women are secretly afraid of money and  the power that accompanies it. They are fearful about how their  lives will change if they become more successful in their businesses.  Consequently, many conscious women entrepreneurs will readily engage in prayer,  meditation or law of attraction to “manifest” money but they won’t take concrete  strategic actions to make it happen. When the money fails to materialize these  women just go off in search of another bootcamp, system, blueprint or guru who  has a “better ” or more “spiritual” answer. In truth, in order for woman to  increase her income and create a successful business she has to change her  mindset.

Women do business differently than men-we tend to be more collaborative and  less hierarchical. We also don’t get a big thrill out of looking at our bank  statements, we tend to get turned on by what we can buy. That being said being  feminine is not in conflict with being financially successful. Feminine leaders  can be nurturing and communicate their wishes in an attractive manner. However  these are also women comfortable with power and are willing to be in positions  of authority-especially in their own lives.

Divine feminine leadership is not for the idle.If you’re familiar with  goddess mythologies you know that there are few who simply lounged around. The  most influential (and successful) goddesses had distinct personalities, yet each  invariably took deliberate action to forward her unique agenda. Women often  cloak their fear of the changes that money (and power) in talk of feminine  energy. As a result their income and businesses often stall in the “faith’ stage  of manifestation. Real feminine energy creates an idea and seeks its  implementation.

What most women fail to understand is that you can’t manifest  anything that your subconsious is resistant to receiving.

Therefore in order for your money manifesting to bear fruit, you’ve got to  first uncover your fears about money and resolve them.

Here is an exercise to help you to create a foundation to “manifest” your  income and business goals:

Part I.

  1. What are your income goals? Be specific about the additional amount of  money you’d like to make each month or year.
  2. How would your life be better if you achieve your income goal? Be specific  about how you’d spend/use the additional cash.
  3. Who in your life may be displeased if you achieved your income  goals?Again, be specific and name names (spouse/partner, family members,  friends)
  4. What do you personally fear about earning more money in your business?  Loss of love (family or friends); the responsibility of managing the money; the  prospect of more work and less freedom.

Part 2.

What can you do NOW to address your fears?

  1. Loss of love: Discuss your concerns with the friends or family members  and/or seek out new friends and colleagues who are supportive of your  business/income aspirations
  2. Loss of additional money: educate yourself about money management through  books, magazines and seminars. (One great primer is: On My Own Two Feet: A  Modern Girl’s Guide to Personal Finance by Manisha Thakor)
  3. Loss of freedom: Get a coach to learn how to earn more money by leveraging  your expertise, NOT taking on more clients. (I recommend downloading my FREE  ebook Get Published and Get (Well) Paid! to get some  ideas).
