Do you love your body? It’s a simple but extremely important question. And if you would take just a hot minute to answer this question, I guarantee it will uncover some important answers to why you may not be getting the results you want in your life in the area of healthy living and weight loss.

If you are guilty of berating yourself for being too fat, too thin, unfit, unhealthy, too short, too busty, not busty enough, having a big belly, chunky thighs or too big of a back end or a ____________________ (You fill in the blank), then ladies, you are NOT loving your bodies which translates into not loving yourself! After all, your body is a part of you. right?

The clue is that you do not love and accept yourself completely and unconditionally EXACTLY as you are this very moment. Sadly, I have to tell you that there are alarmingly very few of us – particularly us wonderful women who can honestly claim this to be true.

On loving the self, Louise Hay describes it as being about “having a great respect for ourselves and a gratitude for the miracle of our bodies and our minds.”

Louise cites scolding and criticizing ourselves, mistreating our bodies with food, alcohol and drugs, procrastinating on things we know would benefit us, and lack of self worth as all belonging to a long list of ways in which we don’t love ourselves.

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

You could add to that list, not being able to say no, or take any time out for ourselves.

Well now it’s time to STOP. If you have weight loss and healthy living goals that you are struggling with and you truly want to achieve them then here is the best place for you to begin.

It may sound strange but it’s also absolutely true – In order to create positive changes in your life you first need to be happy and accepting of yourself and your body and with where you are right now. Being in gratitude is a perfect and powerful springboard for positive change. Negativity and putting yourself down at any and every opportunity is not.

Make a commitment to yourself TODAY to refuse to ever put yourself down again. Make it your mission that from this moment forward you will love ALL of yourself unconditionally just as you are. Start loving, appreciating and accepting yourself and you will be in exactly the right place that you need to be to move towards achieving your health and weight loss goals.

I love you exactly as you are!
