“We can always choose to perceive things differently. You can focus on what’s wrong in your life, or you can focus on what’s right.”  Marianne Williamson

James 1:6-8

Hello Woman On The Rise,

Sitting here thinking about the Derby and how I’ve always been amazed how the horses kept their focus in the race. The jockey never has to yell go left, go right, stop, or jump. The horse is trained so well that he automatically knows when there is a hurdle he has to jump and any turn on the track he has to turn. The horse does not have to have another horse to guide him; he just goes forward after the prize. I had to ask God how this would pertain to a Child of God in pursuit of their purpose. He explained to me that in order for us to get to where God has ordained for our lives to be we must be like this trained horse and the Derby “focused”.

I took some time to analyze how the horses were trained to look and to keep their focus. And to my discovery there is one word “BLINDERS”, the horses are given and trained with blinders these blinders are designed to keep out all distractions that will hinder the horse from obtaining the finish line. The horse is trained daily with these blinders so that they will become mature in their focus.

There are levels of focus that we see today. Some people have long attention spans but then there are others that have short attention spans.  Thinking about attention spans I think about a young whose parents has to develop the child’s attention span. Doing this takes time, patience, and much diligence to build that skill. Well, that is what God is doing in our lives. He is building our focus skills everyday. He allows situations and circumstances to come into our lives to build our focus skill in Him. When we realize that God is the One that holds our tomorrow and our expected end, we will learn how to truly trust Him while we pursue our individual purposes. Recently, I have noticed that people are becoming more conscience of their lives and what they are doing with them. They are starting to appreciate life and what it entails.

I challenge each of you to keep your blinders on and go forth after the finish line… God has already built your strength and patience and has already given you the pace for you to get to your purpose. Let NOTHING hinder you from achieving the purpose of God in your life. God has invested so much in you that He is truly waiting on His return.…

Things to build your blinders:

  1. Read God’s word daily
  2. Recite God’s word daily
  3. Rest in God’s word daily

In the Spirit

  • I see the physical world, but I look deeper.
  • I feel the impact of actions, but I sense deeper.
  • I am an observer of life, noticing patterns, choices, and paths.

God Bless,

E Plezie Small… God’s Pusher

In order for them not to allow anything on the left nor the right to distract them from reaching their prize.
