I have witnessed and heard of so many people starting off with great momentum in the beginning of their year of fulfilling their purpose in life. I noticed a pattern that after the first 3 months of the year, those same people start slowing down their pace. They are looking at the achievements of others and comparing themselves to other’s accomplishments. Unfortunately, their momentum has diminished as the days go by.

After pondering this, I asked God to stir up the gift of God within his people. He spoke to me and said to speak the words “Moving Forward.” I asked God what the meaning of this and then my spirit wanted to know more. I researched the word forward which means onward; ahead; moving forward my curiosity started and I thought what the opposite of forward is and I heard stagnant, which means not flowing.
WOW! God started sharing with me and so I want to share with you.

Where God has intended for our lives to go, we have to keep moving and not allow circumstances, dilemmas, or negative words or actions stop us from getting to the finish line.

I thought about our soldiers and how while they are away on duty, things happen in their personal lives such as divorce, death, injuries and other catastrophes. I thought about the Word of God and it states that we as soldiers have to endure hardship as a good soldier. Soldiers are designed to go forward regardless of comes against them. I have discovered that when you are attacked you have to learn how to take a licking but keep on ticking.

  • Cry– move forward,
  • yell– move forward,
  • divorce — move forward,

Whatever life sends your way you have to use that for your driving force to propel you forward toward the purpose and plan of God for your life.  I challenge each of you that you would move forward regardless of what comes your way to use it to motivate you to do better. Remember this; allow your stumbling blocks to become your stepping stones. They will make a great ladder of elevation in God.
